I received this from Jim last week. Sorry about taking so long to post. Pen is an Artisan Executive fountain pen in 24k gold. Wrapped in Australian brown mallee burl. Pen looks great, and is my first fountain pen. Also in the box, a bunch of blanks. Gotta love that kind of packing material. Thanks alot Jim

I received this beautiful Aero pen in hot desert Ironwood from Doug aka "alankulwicki7"

IMG_0459-L.jpg

I really like how the sapwood contrasts with the heartwood on this pen.

IMG_0460-L.jpg

Doug also jammed the box with wood! I think there were 11 blanks in with the pen.

Doug, thank you very much for this gorgeous pen and all the blanks. I hope that I'm able to do as nice a job with those blanks as you did on that pen.

Thank you, too, mbroberg for running this month's PITH :)

I received my pith pen from John (aka juteck) and it's a beautiful double-dyed buckeye burl on a mesa ( I think) with a very nice fit and finish! My pictures don't do it justice as it looks like a burning ember from a fire...and some real nice blanks to boot! Thanks very much John!!

Here is the pen I received last week from Waluy (Steve Beavers). It's a Chrome Wall Street III with a Lava Bright Red with White Swirl blank. The brass tube was swapped out for a silver tube.
Steve did a great job with the pen. My 12yo daughter was standing next to me when I opened the package and she is now holding the pen for ransom! I hope to get it back some day :).

Thanks, Steve!

Yes, it was fun. I will put together a bit of a description in creating it. As for the blanks, I had to use such a large box that I needed to package it well. What better packaging than blanks?

Here is the pen made for me by Bret Wortman. It has a WTF finish which feels real nice. Don't know what the component set is. He says it was his first segmented pen. Thanks Bret.

Received my pen from Greg (greggas) a couple of days ago and I finally got the chance to post my pic. It is a Church Hill FP with a Harley Davidson looking flame motive. Greg also used some great goodies to fill the box space.

Received my pen from Joe S. a few days back and it looks great. Finally got around to getting a picture taken. Here is Joe's description of the pen:
"It is an Atrax rollerball with a flame laser inlay kit. But instead of the blackwood, I cast real ash from our fireplace, with just a little black mica powder to darken it. Bottom barrel is a CA finish, and the cap is just polished."

He also included some nice blanks as filler which I didn't happen to have with me when taking the picture.

from Wayne (Pete275)

Another PITH, and I get the sweet end of the deal! This one from Wayne (Pete275). A Virage fountain pen out of "molten metal", a bonus Berea flat top out of blue/white acrylic, and some great blanks.

I've been looking at the Virage fountain pen for a while, but haven't made any myself yet? My biggest dilemma - what ink should I use to christen this great pen?? Fit and finish are bang on. I couldn't have expected anything better.

And the bonus flat top --- another with fit and finish being bang on, and a very comfortable pen to hold.

And the bonus blanks even included an inlace -- not sure if Wayne is just clearing his inventory, or he wants to test me on my sharpening skills and patience level!

Thanks Wayne for a great PITH, and all the bonus materials!

Got mine too!

Brian (JustmeinMS) sent out a great looking black Baron with some neat wood blanks to boot. I've not built a Baron yet, but this is a nice kit and Brian's work looks great. I look forward to turning the great looking blanks as well.

Thanks Brain and IAP for the PITH.

Sandy.

Was able to snap this one from my PITH I received.

image-2174606929.png

It's an M3 volcanic ash in a Le Roi. Steve had some interesting stories behind his first six attempts. I wish I had time to put them here but life is running full speed.

Great fit and the finish is awesome. The finish on these are not easy so he showed how much attention he paid.

Fire "Hot" Pen From Sandy H

I received the package while out of town and just recently opened it to find a Smitty Classic Vintage Convertible rollerball dressed in a fiery home cast acrylic which really explodes in the right lighting. The fit and finish are perfect and the colors match the theme of the PITH equally as perfect making for a really beautiful pen.
Also included in the package were 5 blanks (not shown in the pictures) two of which are home cast by Sandy and also the fountain pen parts for the pen. Really cool stuff! Thanks a whole bunch to SandyH !!!!

My PITH to Greggas

I was a bit late getting mine out due to my screw-ups ruining blank after blank. So I ended up having to stray a bit from the theme. Although you could say this is the smoke from the "flame" theme, lol.

It's a Custom Mini FP made from one of my alumilite casts. It has a #6 Bock nib. It is clipless, but I did make to where Greg can add a clip if he desires. I prefer mine without bc it is meant to be a pocket pen. It's to short to write with without being posted, but once you do it becomes full sized and very well balanced.

Hope it serves you well Greg!

Got this a bit ago from Healeydays but wasn't set up to take pictures until today (work has been nuts lately). Thanks Mike for the beautiful pen and really nice blanks!

Thanks Rob, it was my pleasure. The blank on the pen was an experimental done by Brooks803 that he called it Slow Burn which I thought would be great for this PITH.

The blanks I sent are one of my honeycomb and the other is Casuarina cones.
