The 2018 Birthday Bash is almost here!

There is less than a month until we kick off the 2018 Birthday Bash. We will have a few less contests than in prior years as we cut back on contests that are drawing few entries.
This years returning contests are

The "Ball Point Pen" contest run this year by KenV
the "Pretty Wood Pen" contest run by BrianG
the "Freestyle /open class" contest, I will be chairing that contest.
the "Poly Clay contest" run by steveJ
the "kitless Pen Contest" run by steveJ
the "Advanced Freestyle Casting" contest run by Mr Vic.
the "youth contests" both age groups will be run by Stonepecker.
the "Pen Box" contest, I will be running that one as well.
the "Shop Life" photo contest ran by mbroberg
the "Difficult to Write with,Pen" contest also ran by mbroberg.
and "Puzzles" ran by Edgar again this year.

And of course the ever popular Losers Train at the end of the month.

The contest Chairmen will soon be posting rules for their respective contests.
They are posted for public review and input. Take the time to read them and give feedback.

a managers mug

I have some other things that could be used; some pens (all with flaws) by Lou Metcalf, one of the cross blanks by Eagle, and a couple of smocks (need to check the sizes on those). I also have the #2 mug from last year, which I usually take for myself, but I did not last year. (I could pair that 2017 #2 with the last remaining manager's pint glass).

I also got samples of long sleeve t-shirts this year, and we could offer one of those (I have XL and XXL).

John, we had very few entries into the pen stand last year, we eliminated it in favor of the Pen Box which had more entries.

While there is not a separate Trivia Contest this year, I may include some trivia questions in the Puzzle Contests. However, no decisions have been made on the number & type of puzzles just yet.
