I have recently come across a variety small logs of walnut, pecan, hackberry(no spalt), some mesquite, and red elm. Normally I would only keep the walnut and maybe the elm. I am going to split the logs on the pith and then chop them square. This gives a nice blank that cane be traditional or natural edge. Or the blanks can be cot down for cross cut pen/bottle stopper blanks. They will be $5.00 each for 6-8 inch square blanks, and $8.00 ea for 8-10 inch blanks. They should be half the largest dimension in height but that is only a general rule. Crotches will be twice the price but they will not be split. Blanks will be sealed. The plan is to deliver them at S.W.A.T. this August. If you would like some please let me know. I also have mesquite That has seasoned over the summer. It dose have the large grubs in it but they will turn out. I have never had a problem with them in dry wood. Once it dries out they are not far behind. They are on mesquite as soon as it hits the ground and we really have not found a way to keep them out. If you need something else please contact me, we have all sorts of stuff.
Thank You, Scot |

No, but they will not have to pay shipping. If you would like some thing I can pull out stuff that will work with flat rate boxes. I have never tried UPS/FedEX. I am not even sure there is a place to ship with them around here.
