The 'original' ROTONDO - a 'round' carbide cutting tool is back for sale to a limited number of ten(10) pieces.. Just like the original SKOGGER, this new tool follows a tradition of machining excellence. It can possibly be the easiest cutting lathe tool offered to date. Rotondo is simple and easy to use, just place the tool on the tool rest with the cutter at the center of the work and turn away! As you may well know, sharpening is a thing of the past with carbide inserts. Dull edge? A slight rotation created by loosening the set screw and 'voilla' a fresh edge. Rotate at 90 degree intervals until full rotation is complete to maximize the lifespan of the insert. A new carbide insert is available at half the price as other commercial models. Replacement inserts are available from me for ($9.00 each). Notice the 'smoothness' of the cut without the aid of sanding.

TOOL HANDLES will be available and you may choose from the following list.

I will post pictures from which you can choose from. They are included free of charge for this limited edition of ten(10) tools.

The tool comes with an 18mm solid carbide insert, SS mounting screw, ferrule, allan key and tool (ROTONDO) holder. All for a low price of $105.00 USD and that includes all shipping costs to all US destinations. International orders are welcomed with the understanding that there will be a slight surcharge to cover additional shipping costs.

A free tool handle is included with your purchase. Choose from the list that is posted in this ad. They are all hand turned and distinctly styled. A unique handle for a 'unique' tool.

Choose the tool handle number and I will include it with your purchase.

THanks for looking and 'doubly' thanks if you purchase.

Guys, don't let this get by you. I made a trade with Peter for one about 6-7 months ago and now it's my go to tool. Gator, blue lapius, and any acrylic turn like butter with it . I'm still on the original insert, it eats wood and minimizes sanding. The only drawback is if you enjoy standing in front of your lathe trying to turn a hard to turn product forever and then sanding the Rotondo is not for you.

+1. I have the Skogger and Rotondo and they are the only two tools I use now.

Just to add: self turned handle from Ambrosia Curly Hard Maple, finished with 1/2 dozen coats of Turners Polish!
