M3 Black & White Mokume:
M3 Black & White is an homage to the classic black & white celluloid fountain pens of the 1930's. Equal parts of Galactic Silver and space black Carbonite swirl together to create a magnificent random high contrast Mokume pattern.


For those that are new to the forum or not familiar with our material, M3 (MacroMolecular Metal) is a 21st century metal composite that utilizes technology born of the space program. The purest metals are atomized down to the molecular level, combined with other metals and reconstructed back into a solid through a chemical reaction created by the addition of hybrid binders and chemicals.

The resulting new metal composite (M3) is lighter and in many cases stronger than the source metals and exhibits some other wonderful qualities. This unique material can be worked with standard wood working tools, but once finished it maintains a shimmering surface hardness that reveals the visual characteristics of the source metals and polishes to a magnificent gem quality finish. The material turns similar to Corian or True Stone. M3 is more scratch resistant and polishes as bright as many precious metals.
