Default Marksman Pen Kit

Here is another update on the progress of the Marksman kits that were posted a few months ago. Many of you know Constant, I have know him for many years. Quite some time ago he and I teamed up to redesign the original Marksman kit and we are now complete. As mentioned in my previous posts we made a few improvements like eliminating the clip ring and changing a few of the proportions. We are very pleased with how it turned out. In addition to superior quality our product is “made in the USA”. With the exception of the fountain nibs/converters and rollerball refills (which we obtained from Schmidt) all of our parts are manufactured in the USA and materials are procured in the USA. We have a few loose ends to tie up before releasing our product and we anticipate everything being finalized by mid to end of September. We are excited about our new kit and the things that differentiate it from the other kits. The photos below are three pens that we created using variations of our kit (polished/brushed and rollerball/fountain).

Looks like the Rollerball is going to be $44.95 and the Fountain will be $49.95. Quantity discounts will be available but we haven't settled on that yet. Release date is going to be some time between Sept. 15 and the end of Sept. Still time for Christmas gifts.

Congratulations on great example of teamwork, Mark. From what I'm seeing, and from your estimated price, I would say that is a very fair price. I too will be watching for your release date.

What size will the kits be? Jr statesmen or Statesmen size?

Tube drill size for cap is 15/32 and the lower barrel is 13/32.
I would say the size is between a Baron/Navigator and a Jr Statesman.
The weight is slightly less that a Jr Statesman.
The tubes has a slightly thicker wall thickness than the kits currently available on the market.
