Default Introducing: MesquiteMan's Cactus Juice Stabilizing Resin

(Click Logo to visit TurnTex Woodworks)

Are you interested in stabilizing your own blanks? Now available exclusively from TurnTex Woodworks: professional quality stabilizing and wood hardening resin in sizes to fit the hobbyist's needs!

MesquiteMan's Cactus Juice Stabilzing resin is a heat cured, water thin (approx 8 cps) stabilzing and wood hardening resin that is easy to use to obtain professional quality results in your home shop. Similar to Resinol 90C or Ultraseal, Cactus Juice is available in more size options to fit every budget.

Easy to Use:

To use MesquiteMan's Cactus Juice, simply place your blanks in a vacuum chamber and weight them down. Then add Cactus Juice to the container and pull a vacuum. Keep the vacuum going until the bubbles stop and slow down drastically and then release the vacuum. Allow the blanks to soak for 30 or more minutes and then remove them from the resin. Wrap the blanks in foil and place them in a toaster oven at 220 F for 45 minutes to an hour. Remove blanks form the oven, let cool, and get to turning!

Works GREAT on punky wood that is too soft to even drill.
I recently did a test with 8 punky spalted hackberry blanks. Each blank was weighed on a gram scale and the weight was recorded. Then the blanks all were stabilized with MesquiteMan's Cactus Juice and cured, then weighed again. The average blank had a 164% weight gain!

MesquiteMan's Cactus Juice Stabilizing Chamber
Also available is a stabilizing chamber that I custom designed to get the most out of your Cactus Juice. In order to stabilize 5 typical pen blanks in a pickle jar, you will need approximately 16 ounces of resin. With the Cactus Juice Stabilizing Chamber, you only need 10 ounces for the same number of blanks.

Made from welded acrylic, the clear sides allow you to see exactly what is going on in the chamber so you know when the vacuum cycle is complete.

This is the special edition version donated to the IAP Birthday Bash. Typical chamber does not have the laser engraving!

Like everything else I make or sell, your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed or I will give you your money back.

For more information or to place your order, please visit www.TurnTex.com and click on the Cactus Juice menu at the top right.

Do you know if the Juice is able to be shipping internationally? Just as general enquiry for all the overseas folks.

Phil,

I can certainly ship UPS and am checking with USPS to see about shipping Priority Mail. MesquiteMan's Cactus Juice does not have any shipping restrictions so I do not believe it will be a problem shipping USPS but I need to make absolutely sure. I hope to get an answer today.

Curtis,

Could the vacuum chamber be used for casting, as well?

I don't have a pressure pot. And, after seeing the pictures when one of your's exploded, I am a little antsy about using one.

Thanks.
