CLOSED Hi Guys, A few more pieces of wood for you to look over. This is my 10th posting of blanks native to my neck o' the woods, northern end of California......an hour south of Oregon and 3 hours east of the Pacific Ocean. Thank you all very much for your responses.

Would you do me a favor if you buy any of the below burls and please include a zip code in your first note. That would speed up the process a bit. Thanks.

Also, I've added a few larger blocks way down at the bottom of this sale. Guess you could call 'em Other Things We Make Wood. : ) Many pen blanks hidden in them or they might work well for you guys who want to custom cut some wood. There will be some large buckeye, redwood peppermill type wood, and some pretty nice little redwood burl blocks.

I have dampened all the below pieces to show a simulated finish.

Below, B114, $6.00. Buckeye burl small slabs for pen holders, etc......some half blanks in these pieces too. Measures about 7/8 to 1 1/8 thick x 3 x 3 to 3 1/2 to 5 1/2" long. B114, $6.00.

Below, B116, $9.00. Six Buckeye burl spalted bottle stoppers or half blanks. Measures 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 x 2 7/8" long. B116, $9.00.

Below, B117, $9.00. Buckeye burl stopper blocks or half blanks. Measures 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 x 2 7/8" long. B117, $9.00.

Below, M 52. A very nice Manzanita burl "cake". : ) At least it looks like a cake. A green burl just dug this fall. It has a few cracks shown in the pics. After I took the pics, I covered both sides in end seal, overlapped two plastic bags around it so it's staying pretty stable. Weighs 25 lbs. but it will fit in one of the large flat rate boxes. Measures about 4 to 4 1/2" thick and 12ish diameter. $13.95 to ship this one. Lots of good wood here, weighs about 10 lbs. $20.00..total of 33.95 to get it to your house. M52, $33.95.

Below, M70, $15.00. Manzanita burl block, semi-green, was dug last Sept., will have checks, (but you knew that) : ) Measures about 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 6". M70, $15.00.

Below, M71, $10.00. Manzanita burl, dug last September, will have checks typical of manzanita. Measures 5 x 5 1/2 x 6". M71, $10.00.

Below, M72, $6.00. Manzanita burl pen blanks, casting-filling wood. Lots of little cracks for filling with "pretty stuff". Measures about 7/8 x 7/8 x 6" long. Pics are pretty hard to see but this is dark wood. M72, $6.00.

Below, M73, $10.00. Manzanita burl half blanks for casting/filling....Measures about 3/4 x 3/4 x 2 1/2 to 3 1/2" long. M73, $10.00.

Below, MB3. Myrtle wood pen blanks. In California, it's called pepperwood, bay, laural, California olive, etc. In Oregon, it's Oregon myrtle....go figure. Colors shown below, light and dark are actual variations. This wood is fairly hard and dense, really makes a pretty finish. 7/ x 7/8 x 5 1/4". $6.00....MB3

Below, R34. Redwood figured spindle blank, maybe make a pepper mill? Planed two sides to show grain. The other sides are Woodmizer rough cut. Measures 2 3/4 x 3 x 19". R34...$9.00

Below, R35, $9.00. Redwood figured spindle block. Might might have a pretty peppermill inside. Measures 2 3/4 x 3 x 19". R35, $9.00.

Below, B92, $12.50. Large buckeye spalted block. Note this is not burl but spalted wood from the trunk section. Still has the pretty color, no voids, no bark inclusions.....at least compared to burl. Measures about 5 1`/2 x 7 1/2 x 10 1/2"

Below, B93, $12.50. Buckeye spalted block, not burl but wood from further up the trunk. Still has the pretty blue/yellow of spalted buckeye but no bark, voids, etc. commonly found in burl. Measures about 6 x 7 1/2 x 9 1/2".

Guess that's it guys. BTW, if you have any special requests, size wise or any thing else, I'd be glad to hear 'em. Oh yeah, don't forget the "zip" thing. ; )

Received the wood I ordered and WOW am I impressed. Rocky sure made use of the flat rate box that I received. It was filled with some of the nicest wood that is perfect for casting. I can't wait to get started- finished pens will be posted soon!
