Vinyl Labels

Does anybody know if the vinyl labels for lasers are compatible with PR to cast pen blanks

I think that there was an issue with the heat of the catalyzing process causing the vinyl to distort.

I've had a few unsuccessful attempts with vinyl pin striping under PR melting and stretching, leaving it deformed when done. I'm guessing there are different thickness and adhesive values in vinyl so there may be some that have had better success.

So, would Alumilite be an option?

I also have tried vinyl pinstriping and had failures.I used Silmar resin.

Pr and vinyl do not mix...Alumilite works great with the vinyl.. At least thats my experience ...

That's why when people ask "Which is better, PR or Alumilte? (or Epoxy for that matter)", I say each has it's benefits and drawbacks.
