Does anyone know if there is a parker style transmission that press fits into a tube, like the slim line or 7mm transmissions do, or do they all have to have the transmission coupler press fitted to provide threads to screw the transmission onto it? Was wondering if there was a way to eliminate the transmission coupler.

I routinely use cigar transmissions this way with several of my kitless pens . You do have to use a screw in/on nib/nosecone so you can replace the refill . I use aluminum tubes instead of the standard brass tubes on these pens and drill the tube to press fit the transmission then add a drop of epoxy to lock it in place .
