Hi. I'm about to venture into the world of "Kitless" but I have a question...

What do you use for the clip? Is it a component from a kit? If so what kit works best? And can you purchase just the clip? From whom?

Same thing goes for nibs - if you use a metal nib.

OK, that was more than one question...

Thanks

There are a few suppliers of clips that are members here, Classic Nib, Indy Pen Dance, Exotics to name three, not sure about Exotics but both Classics and Indy have custom clips not kit clips that are plated in the US. As to nibs the same three!

You could use the clips from kits, but it would be cheaper to just buy some clips. Some vendors have already been mentioned. As far as nibs/feeds, that depends on what size and brand you want. You'll need a tap for the feed housing, so you'll probably want to pick one to stick with it unless you don't mind spending money on multiple taps.
I myself prefer Bock nibs (as you can tell by my avatar)...
