Demonstrator questions

How do you polish the inside of your demonstrator? I saw an edison video where they use a boring bar to clean up the inside. Have you done this? Where did you get them?

I haven't polished the inside of a pen yet. You can buy small boring bars on eBay.

To polish the inside, you can cut a slot in the end of a dowel and insert a small pied of abrasive paper.

There is an Edison video showing interior sanding. Using a slit dowel and sand paper. I use the cotton mops for gun cleaning with buffing rouge for my final finish after sanding.

What grits do you use for this?

220 320 dry 500 1000 2000 wet. Then white polishing rouge. Alternate directions with each grit. So one spinning and one lengthwise.

The couple I've done were tinted. If you are going for a true clear demonstrator it might take more grits before buffing.
