Had some left over plywood from some Christmas projects and was tired of moving it around so I showed it who was boss.

Really like how it turned out. It was a HUGE learning experience. Finished it in Aussie oil.

That looks like it would be challenging with the cross grain. When I work with plywood I usually spend an hour digging out splinters. Nice job!

I love leftovers! Looks like you got a nice result. I don't envy the needed work, but you did well.

Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. Any particular tips on turning plywood? Tools used? I have some that needs to be used in a worthy turning.

Could not use a reveresed tenon on the bottom the pressure of the chuck kept breaking the wood. I ended up with a full tenon that I had to cut off at the end of my turning.

And with any plywood. the voids and poor factory gluing could give issue with chips and tearing.

I still have some more so I guess I will glue up another blank.

This on was 3 slices at about 9 inches round that I glued then 3 in 6 inch and 4 in 4 inch then I did a second glue that glued the 3 sizes together. I want ot say it was 3/8 cheap plywood.

That looks really good Bobby.
Here is something for you to think about if you ever try using plywood again.
Glue several layers together and then cut the block diagonally and glue it together again so the layers are diagonal. If you are a sucker for punishment you could do the diagonal cut on the other edges and get a real crazy design of layers. Just my 2 cents worth.
