The Central Illinois Woodturners support the Komen Foundation by donating wig stands. We started 8 months ago. Our total to date is 122. 4 Cherry stands. The wood was supplied by Elm City Hardwoods. The painted stands were made by a fellow turner and decorated by his sister in law.

Terry,
Thanks for posting these wig stands and supporting the cause. The work on these is excellent as well as the awesome painting!
A great idea for other clubs as well.
What is the height of the stands?

Charlie the height is 13-15 inches. The dome starts out 5d x 2 thick. Base 6d x 1 1/2 thick. Stem 1 1/2 sq x 12.

Thanks For the measurements.
My wife's sister had some cancer issues this past 18 months. All good now but her "poison pill" is now causing her to loose hair. I may be turning one of these soon and wifey will embellish with pyrography/coloring.
