weed pots

Made these three weed pots from some miscellaneous chunks of wood I had laying around. two are walnut, third is maple and off center (though hard to tell from the photo), planning pyrography on that one. fun quick project, each are about 9-10" tall and various diameters.

Very nice! I've only made a few weed pots but you are right, they are a quick, fun project. They are like turning bottle stoppers in that you can be very creative with the shape.

Very nice. What did you finish them with?

Finished with Deft brush on Lacquer. Takes some practice but this is my go to gloss finish for larger turnings. Much larger than this, it is spray lacquer.

All 3 are very nice, but the genie bottle is beautiful thanks to the grain and coloring. You did a great job finishing those.

Absolutely Beautiful Turnings! I been experimenting a lot lately, making twig pots, has I don't have much money for pen kits, but have tons of scrap pieces that I been gluing together.
