..but it was delightful in the shop. The religious origin of Christmas has to do with Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus. I had a couple of hours to play before honey do's and guests arrive so down to the shop I went.

Merry Christmas to all.

Even though there was rain and freezing rain I managed this Bethlehem olive wood shave set. This holiday season resulted in sales of two shave sets and seven razors so we needed some product in the Gallery. I love this wood and the delightful smell you get when turning it. It is almost fool proof for me. Now the orientation of the photos is clearly sometimes an issue.

Our 90 year old neighbors come for dinner tonight: he gets a weather station and she gets a Rhodium Jr. Aaron fountain/Rollerball in brilliant blue box elder burl. Add a great meal, pie and a fire in the fireplace and that will do it for me.

I hope you all have a great year.

Odd, I didn't get an invitation. Must have gotten lost in the mail. OK, sounds like a good day with friends, family and in the shop.

Long ride and icey roads are present so maybe not today. Drop by another time for a chat, shop visit and a meal.

Beautiful set Mark, and I couldn't agree more about turning Olivewood.

Nice to hear your simple but very welcoming plans for tonight. Being "neighborly" is a sadly lost activity with all its hidden benefits. I am with my middle son today, my wife, daughter and eldest son are away tending to elderly grandparents. We will have our family celebration tomorrow.

We just made Smoked Shrimp Macaroni and Cheese (Cabot Cheese) in my smoker (Thank you MRDucks2). My son and I played in the kitchen and told unmerciful stories about everyone that was not present. A simple day that was wonderful.

Tomorrow I'll send a USPS number tomorrow for you to track.
