Surprise bowl

Had this piece of glue lam beam laying around for years, saw a demo on bowls from flat boards. Wanted to try something different it is about 6.5 wide by 4 tall

Isn't it amazing what one can get from an ordinary cut off of building material?
This turned into a wonderful pedestal bowl! Who would have thought that was hiding in a glue lam beam.

Is this just 2 layers of the beam or stacked rings?

Yes, 2 layers of beams stacked and glued
