Spalted Walnut trio

I turned my last good sized piece of spalted walnut today. The Richmond Woodturners bought a Jamieson Hollowing System for our loaner tool program and I checked it out and hollowed the two taller pieces with it. I see a major purchase in my future. I am really pleased with these three pieces.

The grain, general profile, and final appearance of each piece is very nice.

Gorgeous wood and beautiful profiles. Kudos too for your photograph. It appears two have a matte finish and the other is more glossy. I'm surprised to say that I prefer the matte finish.

Those are beautiful! While Steve was surprised he preferred the matte finish, I'm surprised to say I like the shinier one, but I think it's more the shape than the finish. Beautiful wood and you did an outstanding job on all three pieces.
