Default Spalted Walnut

What's on your lathe today. This is what's on mine. Mother Nature gave me a great piece of spalted walnut to work with. I tried to turn it so that the transitions from the spalted sapwood to the dark wood was featured as much as possible. It's about 8" tall.

As you said Mother Nature gave it to you, I think she would be right proud of what you’ve done with it. Gorgeous work. What finish have you used?
