This is a scrap piece that I got off the burn pile @ a sawmill.. It is about 4"" x 10" & has the 1st of several coats of hand rubbed poly on it..

Nicely done.....doesn't look familiar, must be cheating me with some other sawmill?

What is the finish you have done there? And it is 'art'!!!

Friends!

Thankfully I have two friends locally that have Woodmizers & are also turners..This piece actually came from a log that the papermill here rejected..probably originally came from the Delta area east of here..I have tried Mineral Oil & Beeswax, BLO, Tung Oil & brush on poly but I have switched to MinWax's handrubbed poly & seem to get the best results with that.....I am going to put about 6 (or more) coats on the "art piece" !
