Something for my Mom, first out of new shop

My mom gave me this about 2 years ago to see if I wanted it for pens. It's a piece of the bleachers from the college she attended/cheered at and ended up teaching at as well until she retired.

Just a simple pine serving trey but the memories she had at school will mean the world to her. The previously finished edge remains on two sides.

This is also the first thing I've made after our move and 4 month remodel. It's also the first non turned item I've made. Happy to have a shop again!

Working on the anniversary present for my wife next and already started cutting and drilling the next batch of pens. Fun stuff!
