Red Elm Burl Bowl

My brother-in-law had this on the burn pile on his farm but I told him I thought it might "turn" out ok. I think it did. It's 10" x 4".

Although I live in the middle of Florida my home does have a fireplace but it doesn't get used much and regretably, there aren't any burn piles around from which to save such marvelous pieces of wood....sigh.
