This is something that I've been working on for a few weeks, I am calling it a porthole Bowl for lack of a better name. I cast alternating seahorses and starfish in the individual portholes. Each cast had to be done in two parts to center the starfish/seahorses. The bowl is black cherry and is approximately 9" in diameter. I still have some buffing and polishing to do to get it in its final form.

Thanks for the compliments! Tony, I used Silimar 41. I am not completely happy with the casting results. I did not use pressure and had some separation around the joint of resin to wood which I back filled with CA. I will likely try pressure and or other resins if I do something like this again (which I likely will).

Magnificent Concept and Execution Cody,
Love the Thin Section Black Cherry Bowl,
Terrific Idea to cast and include the Starfish, and Seahorses into the Portholes.
Another String to your Bow.
Congratulations,
Brian.
