Just made the first of several pepper grinders for Christmas gifts. First time I turned marble wood. It almost seems like it is wet. Chips stick to everything but it finished well. Only three more to go.

Yes you did select a nice block of wood to match the crank handle--what kind of wood is that?
Also, does anybody know where to purchase this type of grinder other than Craft supply or PSI? I am wanting to purchase like 20 of each plating, Copper and Brass.

This is the last of the pepper mills. The first was made from Ash. I had it on hand and used it. Much too bland. The last two are made from Marble wood. Finished with two coats 50/50 BLO and several coats of wipe on poly. Kits came from Woodcraft as well as the wood
