Since I started making pens, I've neglected my "other" woodworkings. I just finished this piece, and it will be off to it's new home tomorrow. It's my own design based on antique early American Pie Safes.

Very nice. Do you make the inserts also? Thats Pine isn't it? Nice job, some one will be lucky to have that one.

Thanks, yes it's southern yellow pine. I cull through the entire stack of my local lumber company to find just the few pieces I like. Yeah, they love me at the lumber yard. But no, I didn't make the tin panel inserts. I buy them in quanities of twenty five to get a good price. They are made in China. The package says, "Useful Junk Tin". I can actually buy them ceaper than I can get plain panels to punch myself.
