That is an awesome use of scrap wood. I agree with your comment about how the purpleheart just pops. Looks like a butcher block cutting board but with a lot more pizzaz.

Great idea Mark and really well made. I think I like the sizing difference the best. Looks kind of like a puzzle without the picture.

Love the finished work.

That's really cool! I like how you beveled the edge,looks really custom.

That would be a real conversation piece...it would be a shame to set something on top of it!

Or worse ... You could set a segmented pen blank or two on top of it and totally lose them!

I have lost to many pens to mother and wife over the years.:biggrin:
