This one may be the last for a while as rotator cuff surgery is near and all that rehab. It is nice to finish this one and get it ready for delivery.

Mark - what is a typical weight for one of your boxes? They are gorgeous!

I think between 16-18 pounds. The stuff that will be inside will weigh many times that weight. Most people lift the box for a few seconds from car/truck to a cart and the crew puts it where you want it.

The wood is mostly 5/8" with the outside rod holders and handles at 4/4. Internal shelves are 5/16. They are solid and have survived an airborne journey fully loaded up off a tackle rack and onto a very hard deck while at sea. I was amazed and never wish to see that again.

Long Range

The box is beautiful. What does "long range" mean?

A trip of three to 21 days is considered a long range fishing trip. Typically the trips from 8 days and longer get that designation. I am fortunate to go on at least one eight day trip per year and sometimes another trip of ten days. That is ten days "at sea" away from land. We average at least 1,000 miles to and from on of our destinations called Alijos Rocks, a couple of jagged rocks that were part of an ancient volcano.

Great work and thanks for the fishing explanation.

Hope surgery / repair goes well. Time to peruse the catalogues for essential supplies??? Then you just have to convince her you need cheering up....

Devious who me? Ian
