Here are a couple of Natural Edge Mesquite bowls/dishes I turned about a month ago. Just got around to getting them finished and pics.
They are approximately 6" and 8" in length and have two coats of Danish Oil Finish.

They look great, those holes make me wonder how you managed to keep the bark on.

Only some of the holes were open initially. The rest of the holes were full of worm poop or something. I used CA to strengthen the edges so I wouldn't loose all the bark. Later, I used a piercing tool to open up some more of the worm tunnels.

Caution, when piercing through CA soaked wood, the CA heats up and gives off the CA odor. Ventilation/ good mask is advised.
