My latest cedar bowl. About 7" across and 4" tall. "Look Mom no cracks yet"

I put about 10 light coats of lacquer sanded with 600 grit between coats.

Nice bowl. I used to have a big (15" X 6") piece of cedar that I had drying on my workbench for several years. My wife picked it up one day & asked me what it was.
I told her it was a cedar bowl blank.
Well, she dropped it, and it split right down the middle, clean as a whistle.
She asked me what it was now.
I told her it was a door stop.
