I like my morning shot (of Cuban coffee).

When Andreas Bauer relocated his pottery factory from Paducah, KY to Los Angeles, CA, the colors brightened. Brightly colored (but usually monochromatic) wood-handled coffee carafes were launched in the mid-1930's.

I was stunned to see one go at auction for $550.00, so I figured I could make my own for less than $10.00 (little cup included). So I turned a handful, and kept one for my morning shot:

Thanks, Mal!

And with regards to north-of-the-border caffeine preferences ("...not my cup of tea..."), I call your attention to this little gift to my wife at the 40 years mark: Tea for Two (T42).

The trick was to get both spouts to pour at the same rate:

Challenge = fun.

Bob, is there anything that you can not do and do well?

I have seen your pens, your castings, your pottery. The only thing that I do not think that I have seen by you was polymer clay; yet.

Thanks, Elwin!

Poly clay?: I did get a 3rd place in the 2016 BASH/polyclay-casting with this entry (and with apologies to those who don't like the "wasp waist"):

BUT - I have some little poly ideas cooking, and will post them soon.

Stay tuned, and thanks again - Bob

Lovely Bob!

I have to say that really enjoy seeing your posts. Your work is always so playful and often incorporates such a cornucopia of color, that it can't help but bring a smile.

OK, OK... I'll confess to not liking the Wasp waist! But those blanks, those are very, very impressive! Excellent artistry!
