Turned 3 more stoppers today.

All in Elm Burr, I am really enjoying the fun in turning whatever form the fancy takes when you have one on the chuck.:)

I learned a little something today from my wife as well.[B)]

I was having trouble getting the wood off the stopper chuck after it was turned and finished, and whilst I covered the threads with BLO, and used all my strength, the shine of the stopper makes it hard to get a grip. Well my wife came along and saw the trouble I was having so handed me a pair of Marigold Gloves for doing the washing up. Problem solved!![:0] [xx(]

I now have a soft rubber jar top remover beside the lathe for stopper removal. I also spin a layer of carnauba on the threads of the chuck before turning, makes it come off real easy!

Nice work!
