Seeing Jon's great mills, reminded me that I've worked on a few this week for my show coming up this weekend... These are all crush grind and still a work in progress... they only have first two coats of sanding sealer... since the pictures I've added two coats of wipe on poly and have one more to go before I put the guts in them. I just set the top on for the pictures.

The colored ones are all Spectraply, Green mtn camo (green), Royal Jacaranda, and Caribbean Wave (blue)... the light colored one is Spalted Sycamore and the glues ups are my own concoctions of (birds eye maple, cocobolo, chakte viga, dalmation), (Sptraply Buckskin and dalmation), & (Spectraply Crossbones, Brazilian ebony and Ambrosia maple).

They are all about 10 inches high, plus or minue 1/2 inch.

Thanks for all the comments... sorry to be late with reply... getting ready for a 2 day art show this weekend, setting up tomorrow morning early. I got drafted to help with some transport on some art screens and fixtures... another day I don't get to sleep in.

Nice stuff Chuck. I like the Spectraply ones, I will have to get some blanks for these soon.

BTW how do you price your mills?

Thanks... Spectraply is running a 25% off special through this Friday... their 3x3x11 blanks are normally $16 and at 25% off they're $12 each.

I have a pretty elaborate formula that I use that takes in shop time, costs, etc... but it essentiall works out to be between $9 and $10 per inch of height. My market place won't do much more than that.
