A mini bird house and a mini kaleidoscope

I have made a number of the mini kaleidoscopes but I need ot get more kits to put in them. The bird house is a little larger than the ones I made in the past but it will be nice any ways. I tried to make a point at the bottom but had a little trouble with that and I trued it up and then put a furniture nail on the bottom and an eye hook on the top so it can be hanged. I will put another small hole for a perch and a little bird on it later on. I have to find more wood to play around with and I might order a couple more bowl blanks so that will be great. I having fun with my lathe.. Fay Enjoy!

It's 2 1/4 inches long. It was fun making it. I have been having trouble with rust on the lathe but I have a few more of these at the shop waiting for the kits. Fay

use some fine steel wool and wd-40 to remove the rust and then put a coat of wax on it and it will inhibit the rust.
