A mesquite bowl from a very old log I found. I turned the outside and sanded to 400. I finished with Howard's orange oil, then filled the cracks with brass powder and CA. (The oil keeps the CA from staining the wood) I did three thins layers of brass and CA. Re-sanded to 400 and finished with Howard's orange oil & paste wax.
Turned the inside and basically followed the same procedure to fill the cracks.
What looks like tear out in the last picture is little cracks filled with brass.
