This is from one of the boards that I picked up at the mill.
It looked like and I was told it was Birdseye Maple, but once
I cut into it, it's not Birdseye. More like Curly Maple.
It has nice figure in any case.
After a trip to a more substantial zoo, we got some good photos of the Giraffes, and I used one of those for the patterns on the sides.
I need to do a color fill and finish sand before it can go on display.
These are the only photos I could get. My batteries died.
This is after a few coats of poly.
I'll try to get finished photos.
