I may be new to turning pens but not new to woodworking at least. This was my very first shadow box back in 2004-2005. It was for a Fire Chief on base that was retiring when I was stationed at Mtn Home, Idaho. I apologize for the poor quality picture but it is a picture of a picture.

I will bet that it still hangs proudly on his wall, or sits on his desk !! Great work and detail. Let us see what you have done in the next ten years since this project. Doesn't have to be a pen. Jim S

If I remember correctly they are made from walnut. I cut them out on a scroll saw.
