A lidded box with a finial/knob

I turned this the other day and was pretty pleased with the figure in the wood. The top is from a piece of Silver Maple burl I bought from CSUSA, the bottom is from a piece of Box Elder burl my son in law gave to me a few years back (he's the head Forester for the City of Provo, UT). The finial or rather, the knob is made from Honduras Rosewood Burl. Beautiful stuff!

Three pieces of beautiful but different wood and they go together nicely! Unique "pairing" as well as form. I like it!!
