Here's a winged bowl I did from Kingwood. I had this piece sitting around for a long time till I finally decided what I wanted to do with it. Here it is...

What a nice turning ! I'm a little surprised with the color of the wood, I've some kingwood that is more darker, practicaly dark brown. This color is more orange and the grain appears better.
Usualy, when I buy kingwood here, it's named violetwood, is it the same ?
I like this bowl very much, the finish is also succesfull,

Not only is it great looking wood, and a great looking bowl, but I like that you didn't make the wings really wide and flat like so many people like to do.

I've done that once or twice, and didn't really like it. I usually curl them over alot, but I decided to go a different route this time.
