Here's a winged bowl I did from Kingwood. I had this piece sitting around for a long time till I finally decided what I wanted to do with it. Here it is...

What a nice turning ! I'm a little surprised with the color of the wood, I've some kingwood that is more darker, practicaly dark brown. This color is more orange and the grain appears better.
Usualy, when I buy kingwood here, it's named violetwood, is it the same ?
I like this bowl very much, the finish is also succesfull,

I've done that once or twice, and didn't really like it. I usually curl them over alot, but I decided to go a different route this time.

That is one pretty bowl made from a beautiful piece of wood. Not sure who did a better job, you or the tree but both should be applauded. Nice job and thanks for sharing.
