Here is a couple of pics of a large jewelry chest that I built a while back. It is black walnut and curly maple (a board from Home Depot). It is approx. 21"L x 9.5"W x 15"H. This was only my second piece of "furniture", the first being a cedar chest that I can't seem to find the pics of.

Quite nice. Nice find at HD too. I love combo-wood projects. I'm hoping to take next month off and build some book cases for my office and start on my shop. My desks will hopefully be the same combination except that the top will be curly anigre veneer, dyed walnut. Thanks for posting this. I wondered what it would look like.

Very nice Jeremy. Just today I was researching box making. I want to make a jewelry type box with secret compartments. You have done a nice job with this one.
