This table was a long-term adventure but the outcome is very nice. This is my first attempt at inlaying and with the inlay itself measuring 18" x 18" was quite the challenge. I was given the legs by a friend of mine that wondered if I could do anything with them. The legs are Santos Mahogany so I ordered some boards of 5/4 Santos Mahogany and set to making the apron and skirt as well as the table top.
The tabletop is a 48" x 24" oval and the height is roughly 36". The inlay is comprised of Hard Maple, Zebrawood and Ebony. I applied approx 10 coats of Lacquer for the finish.
Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed making it.

I do love inlays; and especially those I can admire the craftsmanship.

Beautiful... Thank you for sharing. :) Maybe someday when I grow up I can attempt this. :worship::worship::worship:
