Hey guys, I am wanting to try a few stoppers and was wondering if you use any certain mandrel for turning these. And where do you get them?
Any tutorial links would be helpful as well.
Thanks

Cool, are all the stoppers that you buy from the different manufacturers universal so that you can use the mandrel sold by AS. And do they all fit in the 3/4" counterbore?

Thanks!

Micah,
What I see in AS site, the chrome stoppers require a counter bore, but you can get a style from either PSI or CSUSA, or other sellers that have a flat top that will fit flush to your turning.. these generally require a 3/8" screw chuck... I think the ones from CSUSA are a tad smaller, but I use the 3/8" screw chuck I got from PSI on all my stoppers... my personal preference are the silicone stoppers... you use a little hardwood dowel and the silicone slips over the end protruding... just my preference though.

Ok, I'm gonna give it a shot. I ordered a mandrel, a tap and handle, and a couple chrome stoppers.
We'll see how it goes.....[:)]
