Thought I'd post pics of the thing that's most keeping me from pen making
on the weekends. Our home is currently sided with T1-11. As the need for a paint
job neared, I volunteered to reside the house with Cypress. So, pressure wash the
current siding, put up roofing felt as an additional moisture barrier and then
board and batten cypress. Under the windows, where battens won't look right, I decided
to mill the cypress to create a ship-lap with a very narrow reveal between each board,
not only to give it depth but to allow for expansion and contraction without problems.

Hopefully, it'll only take a month or two of weekends. [:p]

Thanks guys.

When we built our home, we acted as the GC and did an owner/builder house.
The pics shows the side entrance from the driveway;
the main entrance faces north to the woods.
Here's a pic of the house before I started residing:

The front is now fully screened in, including a pair of Cypress screen doors I built
about 6 months ago. Here's a shot of the doors just hung, prior to the trim being added:

And, here's a pic of the view from our Front porch:

One nice thing about all this work -- LOML is very supportive of my wood addiction. [:p]
