This blank came from an Orchard cull in South Australia by George (Robutacion).
I cored the green blank and packed it away to dry. The larger piece had a severe crack almost the entire width so I split it in half and put in a slice of Mango stump. After all, Apple and Mango goes together so well.:biggrin:
The inner bowl is 6.75in x 1.75in tall and the bigger piece is 9in x 2.75in tall. The mango slice is .5in. The bowls are sanded to 400 and finished with Shellawax Glow.
Hope you like them and Thanks for looking.
C & C welcome.

Brilliant Recovery, and Execution Bob,
Apple and Mango are a great Combination, To make it complete,
Where is the Ice Cream?
I expect you will tell me it is in the Fridge, so that it won't Melt in all this heat.

Being sensible for a minute.
Bob were you affected by the Cyclone, or the Fringe of it?
Brian.

Hahahh, lots of George's woods, coming out of Bob's wood works, now...!:)

That is great mate, to finally see many of those blanks I supplied you with, from times going by...!

It may have something to do with "September Exhibition" huh...?

Great save mate, I have done a few of those "repairs/saves" also in my time, they can be quite challenging, huh...??

Bob's been busy...!:)

Cheers
George

Brian,
We had somewhere between 75 and 100mm over about 6 hours which was lovely, it looked like it would rain some more today but that never happened. There was a little wind, similar to a strong Sea Breeze which we have quite regularly throughout the summer, and luckily there was no damage from that.
I believe the cyclone crossed the coast at Shark Bay at approx. 4am this morning and has now totally dissipated.
Lucky this time. It is the first one down the coast this far since 1979.
Cheers,
Bob.:)
