I have made one from a kit but I am sort of warming up to the idea of making some more and just wanted to get some "education" from other turners.

There was one on Yahoo but has fizzled due to spammers taking over most of it. I have turned a bunch for friend that finishes them, I just turn to "pot" to what he wants. I'll ask him if there is a new one that I don't know about. I am not a hunter so I am not real good at making calls. I can make them pretty looking but sound is another issue.[:p]

I make calls. A Yahoo forum could be interesting but, for whatever reason, a lot of nut cases hang out at Yahoo. I have owned and/or moderated a couple Yahoo forums and the nonsense has been the same on all of them. BTW, one does not have to be a hunter to make good calls. It can help in selling as you would speak the language of the hunter. I have plenty to do now, but will consider starting a forum, even maybe at Yahoo.

would be interested.. I make a few from kits, but would be interested in learning more from an old master.. (not calling you old.. just a master that's been around a while)[}:)]

I'm a master at being old. [;)]
Found this at Yahoo: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/duckcallsandhunting/
Doesn't get much activity and doesn't seem to talk much about making calls. A bit of a discouragement.

Alan, this is a pretty good forum. I spent a fair amount of time earlier looking it over. Found lots of good advice, and a lot of the same questions that are on here. Thanks . . .
