I challenged myself to turn a footed teapot with an integral handle and spout. This involved mounting the piece and turning on multiple faces and axes. I had to get the sequence of turnings right in order to not turn off the handle and spout. I then had to do a little carving on the handle, spout and feet. Not sure why I did this other than to prove to myself that I could do it. Sycamore with a little spalting.

Cody, I believe you did this for the absolute best of reasons: "to prove to myself that I could do it". It was a personal challenge, and the fact that you succeeded and it turned out wonderful is exactly the point, you had a personal challenge and met it. Wonderful project!

Projects to prove to others that you/we can do something is nice.
Projects to prove to ourselves that we can do something is better.

Well done.

Absolutely Brilliant Cody,
Incredible Mind Blowing Turning.
Superb Ability to Visualize, the necessary Sequences, and Centers,
Let alone the Skill to remove only the "wood required".
While Appreciating the Challenge, Brilliance and Craftsmanship Employed, I have definitely decided that the "Tea Pot" is of now, a Permanent Member on my "Too Hard - Forget It" List.
I Salute your Ability, Perseverance, and Skill my Friend, and from me,you shall remain Unchallenged.
Thank you for Sharing,
Brian.
