My wife has a thing for flashlights, she keeps them throughout the house. She recently bought a package of 10 LED for under $20 at Walmart. I started looking at one of them and decided to see if I could wrap it in wood. It was easier than I expected. I bored a piece of wood with a 1" Forstner bit the depth of the upper section than bored it a little deeper with a 7/8" bit, turned to the desired diameter, sanded, finished and parted off. Did the same for the end cap. Finished the ends. Glued the lower section. I did not get creative with the contour and might try to give the next one more style.

Way to go, Cody !! . I like it ! . And it's a whole lot cheaper than buying a flashlight kit from one of the dealers.

But ... how do you change the batteries ? . Does the end cap come off ?

Yes, The end cap screws off so that you can replace the batteries.
