I decided to give bowls a try. The first one I did was out of Black Walnut. I was no giddy that it did not explode and I survived with all of my digits intact! Well that let to another one. I turned the second one out of monkeywood. It is my (have no idea what I am doing) take on a ring bowl. I determined the limitation of my little lathe also. I had an absolute blast turning them.

Well done!

I'll agree with Ted; the Walnut is excellent. A beautiful wood to work with, but tough to get the end grains to behave.

Thank you for sharing.
