Firemans vase

I have a small CNC machine,and had the wife of a fallen firefighter contact me, she had been desperately searching for vase in the shape of the fireman's cross to use in their annual Blessing of the Helmuts ceremony. She told me her search had been in vain and I was her last resort, so I designed this made from 4 layers of 1" oak. The fireman's cross carved on both sides.

I had more satisfaction in getting this done for her than anything I've done before or since.

That my friend is awesome. I love it. I make fireman clocks and this piece would be a perfect compliment to them. That is a great job. Thanks for showing. I bet you could sell those with no problem. What would be even better is if you could somehow darken the raised areas to make them stand out even more. But that is a small thing.
