finished my holster today

ok i finished the holster about 15 mins ago.
so here is the holster finished.
also in the picture is the handgun that will live in the holster.
its a ruger old army cap and ball black powder 44 cal.
its a joy to shoot.

Great looking holster and nice pistol Leon. Did you do the engraving on the leather too?

Yep.

the holster started off as a big flat piece of cowhide/leather.

I cut out the shape, carved it, colored it, put the chorme diamonds in. sewed it together all by hand. formed it and put the finished coat on it.

the sewing took about 4 hours.

I've made a number of holster but nothing looking that nice. Yes, the Ruger OA is a fun gun to shoot. I recently put my Bicentennial model up for sale.

Very nice combo! I have always thought that a Ruger OA with a swapped 44 mag ciynder would be a real fun gun, but there are already so many other fun guns.
