End Grain Bowl

This is my first attempt at doing an end grain bowl. An end grain bowl differs from a natural edge in that the bark is on the outside of the bowl as opposed to being on the rim and you hollow into the heart of the wood similar to doing a hollow form. This piece of wood was from a crotch section.

Very nice Cody! Most of my attempts at end grain bowls are cracked. But I love what your's looks like. I do have 3 still in a paper bag with wood chips (3 yrs now...). Yup, about time for a final turning.
